From the video on the left, K-pop has evolved from a music genre, into an occupation desired by youngsters. At a very young age, they are introduced to the world of K-pop, a stuff and competitive market. It takes more than just singing and dancing to be recognized by others, you have to be equipped with various of skills in order to stand out from the rest. K-pop is introduced to youngsters at school as a singing or dancing session. This may be to show the kids, that a future occupation they would like to pick could be a k-pop idol. Being a k-pop star topped the most wanted occupation, 21% of South Korean preteens dream to become k-pop stars. Unlike American/English singers, people who train to be k-pop idols have a stronger, more stable foundation. They focus not only on the singing aspect, but also other elements such as performing, rapping, dancing, etc. This all rounded foundation allows them to be well prepared for the future, they would also most likely gain more attention as they are all-rounded, not all idols are equipped with this advantage.
